
Frans Masereel
We have a new Number 1 on the Official UK Chapbook Chart, posthumous congratulations to Oscar Wilde with Ballad of Reading Gaol. This 1978 edition by Pluto Press is powerfully illustrated by Flemish artist Frans Masereel, who first visited England in 1909, inspiring him to create his first woodcuts. Sampson Low Ltd remain the top publisher with 7 entries in the top ten.
